Appropriate Online Content And Discussion Guidelines

    We reserve the right to remove content that does not meet our discussion standards. Meshing Reality Corporation, Free Rein, and ourfreerein.com do not assume any liability if such content is not removed, and makes the final determination about whether content is objectionable or not. Meshing Reality Corporation, Free Rein, and ourfreerein.com do not endorse or oppose opinions expressed by our visitors. Visitors who generate content in chat rooms and message boards, etc, that do not meet our discussion standards shall be removed. Serious offenses will result in removal of access.

      These guidelines apply:

• Maximum Age:
        You must be no older than 23 to participate in any part of ourfreerein.com, unless specific access is granted by Free Rein’s Staff.

• Identity - Nicks:
        You may not use public display names or nicks on the message board, chat, or private message system that are offensive to the topic or impersonates or represents any person or entity in an attempt to deceive, harass or otherwise mislead another member. Additionally, you may not use or represent the name of any public figures or an employee or representative of Meshing Reality Corporation, Free Rein, and ourfreerein.com.

• Language:
        Very mild expletives and non-sexual anatomical references may be allowed in some contexts, but profanity, strong vulgar language, crude, lewd or explicit sexual references and hate speech -- harsh personal insults and epithets directed against any race, religion, ethnic origin, gender or sexual preference -- are not allowed.

• Personal Attacks:
        Personal attacks not allowed. "Personal attacks" are defined as comments that reflect upon a person instead of their opinion.  Personal attacks are also defined as excessive criticism of a person’s beliefs, knowledge, grammar, or spelling.

• Sex/Sexuality:
        There is a difference between affection and vulgarity. There is also a difference between a discussion of the health or emotional aspects of sex using appropriate language and more crude conversations about sex. The former is acceptable, the latter is not.

• Disruptive Behavior:
        Please stay on topic and restrict your comments to the subject at hand. Refrain from "spamming," or "flooding" or the repeated posting of the same message over and over. You may not transmit or facilitate distribution of content that is harmful, abusive, racially or ethnically offensive, vulgar, sexually explicit, or in a reasonable person's view, objectionable. Hate speech will not be tolerated.

• Personal Information:
        You may not share any personal information or information about others -- phone numbers, home address, passwords, etc.-- with others on the site. Any such message board posts will be removed without comment. Chat participants may be restricted from using the chat system. This is for your protection!
  
        No speculation about the identity of other participants is permitted. You may not attempt to harvest or collect member information including, but not limited to, Public Display Names, passwords, or e-mail addresses. If you're under 18 we request that you not share your full name on the board.

• Linking Policy:
        Please be careful clicking hyperlinks. You use the Internet at your own risk and ourfreerein.com cannot be responsible for the content and conduct you may encounter.

• Images:
        In most cases we do not allow the posting of images in message boards or chat with exception to the smilies we provide. You may not use our community to distribute, facilitate to distribute, or direct link to any content that solicits for exchange, sale or purchase of sexually explicit images, and/or material harmful to minors; including, but not limited to, any photograph, film, video, or picture or computer generated image or picture (actual or simulated.)

• Copyrighted Material:
        No copyrighted material is allowed. Please use links and references to cite material. You may not use our community to distribute, facilitate distribution, or direct link to any content that infringes anyone else's intellectual property rights, including, but not limited to, any copyright, trademark, rights of publicity, rights of privacy, or other proprietary rights, without properly giving credit to the author.

• Collection of Information:
        You may not attempt to copy, reproduce, create derivative works from, harvest, or collect posts or member information (including, but not limited to, Public Display Names, passwords, or e-mail addresses.)

• Illegal Behavior:
        The laws that apply in the offline world must be obeyed online. We have zero tolerance for illegal behavior in Meshing Reality Corporation’s Ourfreerein.com community. We cooperate with law enforcement on such matters.

• Automatic Censor:
        The message board and chat may automatically censor certain words and web addresses from being posted. This censoring is not an exact science, however, so certain words may be censored out of context. Please realize that the censoring is being done by a computer based on the words that are being screened. Words that are censored are replaced with asterisks. Never attempt to circumvent the censor filter.

• Proper Online Conduct:
        Online conduct should be guided by common sense and basic etiquette. You will be considered in violation of the Community Standards if you violate any of the standards outlined above.

• 3 Strikes Policy
1. Free Rein will be operating under a "3 strikes and you're out" policy. After three strikes, Free Rein will suspend, temporarily or permanently, the offender. Typically, strikes will be on record for approximately 6 months. Members will be issued a strike for any actions which fall into the following categories; offenses include, but are not limited to, the following:
   
   1. verbal, written, physical or spoken harassment
   2. a violation of the Community Guidelines

• Special Exceptions to the “3 Strikes Policy:”
  
          A. The following action will result in the immediate banning of access to Free Rein:
  
                 1. members over 18 soliciting anyone under 18 .
  
          B. The following action will result in 2 Strikes being issued at once:
  
                 1. members under 18 soliciting anyone over 18, failure to report such incidents on the part of the minor or a positive response on the part of the minor.

• Appeals

   Although a suspended member may appeal the decision, the final responsibility and power to exclude or reinstate a member rests solely with the Executive Director of Free Rein.

• Complaint Form

Free Rein has now created a structure to manage complaints. Located here, is the Free Rein Complaint Form. This form is meant to address any issue you feel has broken Free Rein’s Terms of Service, policy, or spirit of Free Rein.

Filling out the form correctly and completely is the required first step to having your complaint addressed; email it to peter@ourfreerein.com where the complaint will be reviewed in a prompt manner.
