Feature Restrictions:

     The Feature Restrictions are divided into five parts --Avatar Guidelines, Signature Guidelines,Private Message Guidelines,Instant Message Guidelines, and User Title Guidelines.

Avatar Guidelines
      Don't know what an Avatar is? Avatars are small images that will be included in your user profile and will be displayed under your Public Display Name, to the right of all your posts on the message board.

      These guidelines apply to their usage:

• Image Types:
       For external avatars, only JPG, GIF, or PNG will be allowed. Absolutely, no .bmp, .swf, or .txt files.
• Size Restrictions:

      The maximum area any avatar may occupy is 60 pixels wide x 60 pixels high OR 60 pixels high x 60 pixels wide. Avatars must also be under 10 Kilobytes in size so please use caution if you should choose an image that occupies the maximum space permitted or an animated graphic. Of course you may use a smaller avatar that occupies less than 60 pixels wide x 60 pixels high OR 60 pixels high x 60 pixels wide but no one will be permitted to exceed these limits.

• Content:
       
You may not use Ourfreerein.com or any of its parts in your avatar without permission. You may not display objectionable content or content that otherwise violates our Community Standards, including personal pictures.  We reserve the right to define what objectionable content is and deny you the ability to use avatars if you show disregard for the avatar guidelines.
• Uniqueness:
        If you are not using one of the provided avatars, please don't duplicate someone else's avatar - especially if they made it themselves. If you use someone else's originally created avatar we will remove it from your account and deny you the ability to use avatars in the future.

• Tips for use:
        You can get to the avatar selection by clicking on the My Profile & Messaging link at the top of most ourfreerein.com pages. Then click on View / Update Profile link.
  
        Also, you can choose to turn OFF display of avatars, if you don't want to see everyone's avatar. However, the Ourfreerein.com Staff and Volunteer logos that appear under Ourfreerein.com staff and volunteer names will continue to appear if you turn off the avatar viewing.

Signature Guidelines
      You may use a signature (also commonly used in email messages) on your posts on the Message Board. You may set your signature in your member profile. Once you have a signature stored, you can choose to include it with any post you make by checking the "include signature" box when you create your post.

• Signature Length:
        Your "signature" may not exceed four lines of 65 characters.
• Images:
        Your "signature" may not contain any images or flash animation. Images of any kind are not allowed as they can slow down the load time.
• Content:
        A typical signature contains the poster's first name, web site, and a favorite quote or saying. While you are allowed to promote your personal web site(s) in your signature, you are not permitted to post excessive links to sites, any kind of affiliate programs with referrer IDs, or links that otherwise violate our Community Standards.

Private Message Guidelines
      A private message is not email. Private messages are one-to-one communications that can only be read by the recipient. On the Message Board you can read private messages in your profile section. You can also elect to be notified by email whenever someone sends you a private message (you can set this in your profile). You can also prevent anyone from sending you a private message (also configurable in your profile). Only registered members may send private messages.

      To send someone a private message, look for the private message icon on a post a person creates. You can send a private message through the person's member profile, or from your Buddy List, if you have added the person to your Buddy List.

• Use PMs Appropriately:
        Never private message a person when there is a chance that your message or the expected reply can be of benefit to others. You're joining a community and without open discussion there cannot be a useful exchange of ideas.  Please do not gossip, or leave others with a lesser impression of the person(s) you are speaking about.

• Private Message Privacy:
  Meshing Reality Corporation, Free Rein, and ourfreerein.com considers the contents of your Private Messages to be the private communications between you and the people you have designated to have access. We will not monitor, edit, or disclose the contents of a User's private communications, except that User agrees Meshing Reality Corporation, Free Rein, and ourfreerein.com may do so: (a) as required by law; (b) to comply with legal process; (c) if necessary to enforce Ourfreerein.com’s Conditions of Use and these Community Standards; (d) to respond to claims that such contents violate the rights of third parties; (e) to protect the rights or property of Meshing Reality Corporation, Free Rein, and Ourfreerein.com, or others; and (f) to identify or resolve technical problems or respond to complaints about the service.

Instant Message Guidelines:

·         All rules applied to the Community guidelines, Member Agreement, Conditions of Use, and Privacy Policy apply to the use of Instant Messages. Currently, IMs are unavailable.

User Title Guidelines:

·         These general guidelines apply:

1.       To initially request a user title, the user must (1) have posted a minimum of 100 posts or (2) be a member of Free Rein for at least 6 months.

2.      Changes to the user title can be requested in increments of 500 posts. (ie 500, 1000, 1500 posts, etc...)
